What's New in
SmartGym 7.7
The biggest SmartGym update ever. Liquid Glass, Apple Intelligence, Live Workout Builder, and deep integrations across iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and watchOS 26.
Explore the UpdateLiquid Glass
SmartGym is all in on Liquid Glass, Apple's stunning new design language. The entire app now features this sleek and dynamic visual style, bringing a fresh look to every screen.
SmartGym goes deeper than just updating the app's chrome. Every button, alert, chart, and view has been reimagined to take full advantage of Liquid Glass. The material has been applied to charts and workout elements on the Explore tab. From the Add Routine screen to workout summaries and suggestions, every detail has been touched.
Widgets & App Icon
All widgets and the app icon have been redesigned to match the new Liquid Glass aesthetic. Whether you're on the Home Screen or Lock Screen, SmartGym now looks as modern as it feels.
Import Routines From Text
Copy any workout from the web, social media, or a note and paste it into SmartGym. The app runs it through Apple's Foundation Models, then the Smart Trainer fine-tunes it into a structured routine with sets, reps, and rest times. It automatically adapts the routine to your available equipment and continues tracking your progress with smart adjustments over time.
Smart Greetings
Personalized, real-time greetings appear above your routines, generated by Apple's Foundation Models using your current fitness data. You can enable or disable them from the routine view's context menu, where you can also hide the Quote of the Day and Show Up Next sections.
AI Personalities
Choose your coaching style. Three personalities shape how SmartGym communicates with you: Super Motivational for high-energy encouragement, Balanced for steady and supportive guidance, or Mean for tough-love, no-nonsense coaching.
Explained Suggestions
Smart Trainer suggestions now come with clear, easy-to-understand explanations powered by Foundation Models. If you're not comfortable with a suggestion, you can tap to disable it or manually update it. Both actions teach Smart Trainer more about your preferences.
Summaries
Foundation Models convert your workout data into insightful written summaries covering monthly performance, routine breakdowns, and individual exercise analysis. Real understanding of your training, not just numbers.
Exercise Questions
The exercise library features nearly 700 moves with detailed animations. Now you can ask questions about any exercise directly within SmartGym and get instant, AI-powered answers about form, variations, and muscle engagement.
Flexible Windows on iPad
SmartGym now supports Apple's new flexible window sizing on iPadOS 26, complementing existing Split View, Slide Over, Drag & Drop, and Stage Manager capabilities.
Liquid Glass on Apple Watch
Buttons and interactions on Apple Watch have been optimized for the new Liquid Glass design language, delivering a polished and cohesive experience on your wrist.
RelevanceKit & Smart Stack
Smart Stack widgets now suggest the optimal time to appear, like just before your usual training session, so you're always just a tap away from starting your workout.
Control Center
SmartGym adds a button to Apple Watch Control Center for instant workout initiation. One swipe, one tap, and you're training.
AlarmKit
Create alarms scheduled to trigger at specific times, even overriding silent mode or Focus settings if needed. Perfect for setting gym-time reminders that you'll never miss.
Live Workout Builder
Full background execution enables real-time heart rate tracking from Powerbeats Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3. You can track heart rate with heart rate zones and calorie burn without an Apple Watch. A complete workout tracking experience, right from your iPhone.
Persistent Live Activities
Live Activities now display throughout your entire workout session with real-time updates from external devices. A Predictive Action button always updates with the next recommended step, so you can complete your entire workout through the Live Activity interface without ever opening the app.
Available on Every Apple Platform
SmartGym 7.7 launches alongside iOS 26 and watchOS 26. Available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and visionOS.
